1965 VW Notchback, his is a truly a one of a kind VW finished in German steel grey a upgraded water cooled version of the 65 Notchback built by Lyle Sherry of Bothell Import Service and Boss Tuning with dual 44 Weber Carbs done by Berg himself! This was a 6 year project finished in 1993 with a feature spread in Hot VW magazine!This build featuresall OEM VW components, 1.9 water cooled engine boasting a Webber cam, ual 44 Webber carbs built by Berg, ustom Berg intakes and a type 1IRS 4 speed with custom gear ratios. A very cool and retro GTI interior was added to give the interior that custom look and feel, BS 15" wheels wrapped in new directional tires all around. To give the VW a perfect stance itwas lowered 2 inches all around, pgraded Bosch H-4 Halogen headlights up front, tc. etc. etc. This is a very cool part of VW history on the West Coast and a one off build that stopped the Bug National show in 1993 when it was introduced with Gene Berg personally bringing it to the attention of the Hot VW magazine crew who had a blast driving it on the SIR road course and following that up with a 3 page spread in Hot VW magazine and affectionately naming the car WASSERNOTCH!
