Description

1969 Karmann Ghia coupe that has been partially restored. The body is straight and has Very Little Rust (save for floor pans!). The red rust looking stuff in the photos is NOT rust but red dirt from where she was at for 15 years. The interior body has been half completed (front half). sanding and painting and the dash has been POR15'd. The floor pans NEED to be replaced and are rusted through in the back portions. I have the instruments for the dash: speedometer. clock. gas gauge and some of the knobs. I redid by hand the glove box cover. I do not have the dash pad or dash face and some of the knobs. Doors are hung but need to be adjusted. as do the windows (I have an extra passenger side window if you need it). All seals on the car need to be done save maybe the front and rear window. I do have some of the seals (new grille and head light trim seals). I redid rocker panel trim on drivers side so far and sanded and repainted rocker panel itself (no rust) but passenger side is not done though I did get rocker trim off and it awaits cleaning and removal of old chipped paint. For the interior - I have both seats (AND tracks!)though they need to be put together (drivers side is missing the spring mechanisms) along with NEW covers (black). headliner (black). door panels and rear panels (black velour) among miscellaneous odds and ends. The carpet has been pulled out due to damage and though I still have it. it should definitely be replaced. The locking mechanism or cable to engine deck/trunk needs to be adjusted and is REALLY hard to open (for me anyways). All the windows are intact though one of the pop out rear windows (drivers' side) the brace needs to be replaced and is currently taped. She does need new knobs. dash face and pad. I was working on the front trunk space and much has been sanded. primed and has one coat of paint (2 on drivers side). The car does need a new wiring harness though I DO have the old one. None of the wires are marked (thanks to the person who had it before me) and they are very old. The headlights have halogen lens in it now and the chrome rings are NEW but rings can't be put on till bucket rims are fixed (the other rusted part). I do have the front grills. screens and seals. The car has 2 new front tires and really just the rear passenger side needs to be replaced as it is over 20 yrs. old and was sitting for 15 of those years. It does not have the bumpers. The engine trunk space I was starting to rework (paint chipped off back needing to sand. prime and paint -- I have all of the paint) as there is rust around the inner deck where the seal goes. I have new disc brake calipers for front brakes. new brake lines and new accelerator cable etc. The engine (core) is rebuilt and sitting in the shop (Current price reflects NO engine with car . )but I have All NEW parts to go on it (for the core). It was a duel carb and I have both 'Dellorto' carburetors and air filters plus duel carb manifold. I have the oil tower. fuel pump. generator. alternator 12 volt etc. etc. etc. ALL new in the box plus gaskets. seals etc. (over $1200 in parts alone for engine) I do not however have a battery. She is currently equipped with air shocks as well. $3200 or Best OfferThanks. andy650-875-1651
