( See included parts listed below )1983 Rabbit GTI in Royal Red – (not many in this color). This is a nice 32 year old collectable GTI. A very original car except for the dealer installed Rial wheels. sunroof and a re-spray (original color) in the early 90’s. All records and manuals are included from the day it was born. It still has all the factory body stickers in place. I see no rust in the usual areas. shock towers are excellent. rockers. floors and pinch welds all look good as well. The engine compartment. hood underside and cowl look perfect - this GTI is fundamentally rust free. The only faults I can find are a few bubbles around the back-glass. the headliner has a sag and a soft dent in the roof (the previous owner dropped a cardboard box on it from a loft in storage) it is not bad. Interior is very nice. there is abrasion on the drivers side seat bolster. the rest of the interior is quite nice. The car itself has been stored in a heated warehouse for over 15 years. it has not been started (engine was pickled before storing and turned every few weeks by hand). The fuel system will need to be flushed and the vehicle mechanically inspected before attempting to start or drive. Sorry. you can’t just put some gas in it and drive it home.
