Some facts about this super clean VW Bus: The original paint color was Sea Blue and Cumulus White. The faded exterior was consequently stripped and painted by Brown's Volkswagen Auto Body Shop with a 2-stage period correct 'Coral' and white two-tone paint. This VW Bus 11-Window Walk-thru was registered in 2011 with 102. 29 miles. and currently shows 103. 16 miles. Original body had zero major rust. no major collisions; the body is factory straight. Drip rails are solid. No structural rust on body. Nothing was welded. floor was perfect and virtually rust free (please see pictures). The motor is not factory original (but has more power – we think it may be a dual port 1600 but true displacement is unknown). with dual 40mm Weber Carburetors. Dealer installed Porsche wheels and disc brakes all-around. Bus was lowered significantly prior to purchase. Transmission is a Beetle transmission (which has better gearing) and reduction boxes were removed. This VW has some Deluxe exterior trim pieces (not a Deluxe. however. as it is missing the dash clock). Non-operational but period-correct Sapphire V radio with '67 rubber knobs. Please note. this Bus does not have the heater pipe/heater installed. and is sporting an aftermarket exhaust and aftermarket steering wheel.
