1977 Volkswagen Beetle

Triple White - Rare - Champagne EDITION - Model 1591

Thanks for checking out my 1977 Volkswagen Beetle. Not only is this beautiful car a "triple white" trim level, but it also is 1of 1000"Champagne" Edition Model 1591, Numbers matching Engine and Transmission, 103K original miles, a very nice and rarebug for your collection. The Champagne edition is very rare, each dealer in 1977 got 1 Triple White "Champagne Edition", this one is documented by the original Sales Receipt, Champagne Package -Model 1591. The VW Beetle convertibles were manufactured at the Karmann plant in Osnabruck, Germany. Karmann was a coachworks company before the advent of the horseless carriage and specialized in hand-made custom motorized vehicles.Volkswagen contracted them to make several unique cars based on the standard beetle chassis, including the Beetle convertibles, Type III, Thing, and the low profile "Ghia" sports car. If you look at the original sales order from Sierra Autocars, in Monrow, CA, on 4/15/77 it specifies its identity. Forward a few years now, a very good friend of mine, who has had a few cars in his life time, fell on love VW's, he has had some very nice ones, and he loves only well cared for classics ones with good stories. He bought this bug back in the 2000's, I remember it when he got it, it was a clean little car. I believe he bought it from the original owner, the first site of it he had to have it. He did some nice things to it, had it repainted the original color, put new wheels and tires on it, added some nice details to the car, best of all, he loved to show it. He and his daughter, showed this bug, along with their matching 1977 Coupe, and a 1978 low mileage bus. This Triple White Bug, would be great for any collector, ora VW show room, where his 1978 Bus ended up (hint hint). Anyways, this Bug is ready for show, drive it anywhere, this on one rare VW Bug, check out the 100 photos below, inside and out, if you have questions, let me know, I would be glad to answer. Thanks, Jason 503-910-2085

What makesit aChampagne Edition? Well the Champagne edition was only a US model, Germany made 1 Champagne edition for each US dealer, around 1000 for 1977. If you look at the sales receipt it list Champagne Package and model number 1591, this is a rare piece of machinery. The received 4 Gold stripes that run across the rockers, which you need to add to this one if you want them back on it, easy to do. They were all triple white cars, I believe some got sand colored tops, Opal Ribbon Weave Seats and door panels, that can all be changed, but not so easy is the Burl Elm Dash inserts very hard to find and not reproduced. Look at the sales receipt, and it list the Champagne Package and model 1591which is great documentation. I believe they only built 2100 Triple White Convertibles, but even less

Champagne Editions 1000, this is 1 of those 1000 special VW's for 1977.

Take a look at all the photos and you will get a very good idea of what this little beetle is. Always adult owned, very nice paint, very glossy and good looking, no rust, no rust bubbles or repairs. All the panels line up nicely, doors shut nice and tight. We went one step further, and shotphotos of the undercarriage, it is in excellent condition, no rust or repairs, many bugs which they had an underside like this Champagne Edition. The top is in excellent condition, no wear no tears, under the bonnet is extremely clean, we even took the original spare out so you could see it, no accidents inner aprons clean, no wrinkles. It has been garaged obviously all of its life, with one repaint since new. When you look down the sides it is very straight, nice fenders very clean. The interior has been redone, and looks amazing. The chrome work is in great shape as well. The engine starts right up, and idles very nice, this is one you can drive anytime you like and have a smile on your face. It cruises right along out on the freeway or in town, top up or down, it looks great both ways. All the lights work inside and out, horn etc. This is a great little bug, it does not burn any oil, and the clutch feels great, as well as the brakes. The wheels are 8 spoke traditional polished alloy wheels with about 80-85 tread on the tires.

I have been selling classic cars here on eBay since 2003, 12 years now, with around 600 classic cars sold over the internet. What I love about these old cars, is that I get to own some of my favorite cars one at a time, I have turned this passion into a business, but for me it is an awesome time to enjoy the cars themselves. It has been such a joy to do business with people all over the world. I have sold multiple cars to many buyers all over from Europe, Dubai, Australia, Japan, Brazil, just to name a few. It has always been a pleasure, getting to know other car enthusiast all over the Continent, especially some that have become very good friends of mine because of our love for cars. I look forward to doing business here on ebay for many years to come, and look forward to meeting some other like minded classic car nuts like myself. If you would like to call me and talk about the car, that would be great, would love to help you out, if you want to call and talk about cars, it would be my pleasure, I am on the hunt for any Interesting classics, odd ball and unique vehicles. Please, come out and personally take a look at it in person, or send a friend or inspector, or transporter, always better if possible to see it with your own eyes, I am close to major airport, and easy to get to. These are classic vehicles, with lots of history, almost years old, so they are used, not perfect, they don’t have warranties, or guarantees, they are as is, where is, nothing else is promised, I can’t possibly explain every little thing about a vehicle in writing, believe me I've tried, lol, seeing in person is always best, I try to give an good description, and normally over 75 photos at least, so you can get a good gauge of what it is, and isn’t. Look forward to hearing from you, please give me a call, 503-910-2085 - Jason
