Description
For sale is my 1973 V.W. Bus Tin top camper.I bought this baby less then 4 months ago after a long time of searching for the right camper.I had full intentions of using her this summer to camp the California coast. But a sudden job change after 25 yrs of having the same job position has now forced me to put her back on the market. One of the reasons I landed on this particular bus was the fact that it had been literally in the same family for over 40 yrs until my purchase. And the previous owners took such go care of it that i literally have two entire stuffed folders of paperwork--- oil changes- insurances cards- registrations- you name it almost everything that was ever done on this bus is in these folders. It is a virtual time capsule of paperwork. The other reason I got her was it has always been a California car and there is very little rust to speak of .The only thing I can find is some surface rust in one spot under the front windshield and on the floor boards of both passenger and drivers side floor pans. Also some surface rust in misc spots around vents etc.But there is no holes and nothing that would need extensive work just surface rust period.Floor pans and every thing else is exceptional. The Paint is an older repaint but still looks very good it just has miscellaneous scratches here and there and only one bump in the back upper passenger corner. This baby is a full tin roof camper with a sink an ice box -plenty of storage for camping essentials and a rear seat that of course turns into a comfortable bed.It even has a 110 volt plug that can be plugged into out side juice to hook up your t.v. Microwave etc.etc.But the most important reason I bought it is with all the meticulous maintenance that was done by the previous owners she drives exceptionally well. She shifts perfect- sounds good and stops on a dime.I drove her all day here the other day and in the Sacramento heat she had no problems what so ever.As my wife stated it is one of the smoothest driving classics I have ever owned. So if you have been looking for a nice bus to camp in or just enjoy then this is one of those just turn the key and go classics that you can enjoy for yrs to come. And with my reserve set low if you have watched the prices of these buses there is truely nothing but an upside for the buyer. With all that being said it is being sold as is and it is being listed locally so I do have the right to end the auction at any time. Thanks and good luck bidding...any questions do not hesitate to call me at 916-678-9842 ask for Mike
