This auction is for a very special Baywindow bus camper that was manufactured in 1989 in Mexico and comes with the factory installed 4 cylinder watercooled engine. Please note that we have put it as a 1979 to fit it within the baywindow model section for Ebay, but it is actually a 1989 as most people are aware that they are still making busses outside of the USA. It only has about 56,000 miles (89,000 kilometers).
This bus runs, drives and stops but is being sold with no title.
This one is a rare one because it comes as a factory built camper while 99% of them are only transporter or delivery style ones. In fact, this may be the only one here in the United States. This bus was driven up from Mexico into California and then on a several week sightseeing drive over to the east coast. We drove it for a year and then put it in storage for the last 3 years. We currently use it to store things in, so it is time to pass it to a new owner. We have had many busses over the years, but this one was a pleasure to drive with real power and heat that aircooled busses usually lack. The bus has rust in the battery area, but the frame is super nice. It has a camper interior and an onboard propane stove and a 12v coleman fridge.
This bus runs, drives and stops but is being sold with no title.
We have seen a lot of people wanting to upgrade their bus to a watercooled unit, usually using a Subaru conversion, but it is a ton of work and engineering, so the nice thing about this one is the work is already done and done by the Volkswagen Factory!!!!!! We have the original window sticker and a lot of paperwork for the bus. As you can see, the pop top has been removed and not included.
This bus is sold with no title.
