1968 VW Camper bus
This is a 1968 VW bus that I completely restored and sold to a local guy. Just after buying it he decided to install a gas heater with out disconnecting the battery. It didn’t go well and caught the bus on fire. The worst part is he had no insurance on it yet. I felt bad for the guy and bought it back from him. I have replaced all the needed parts to make the engine run again. It run great shifts and stops great. I have driven the bus all over the neighborhood with no problems. I really don’t think it would take too much to put this bus back on the road. There is some warp metal on the drivers rear corner and the floor above the engine compartment but that’s about it. One of the engine pictures is of the engine running. All the seat frames are still good, the Z-bed still works, even the speedometer still works. I think the factory radio still works as well. Bus even starts with the key. The bus was not running when the fire started so all the wiring in the front is still good and I have replaced most of the wiring in the rear.
