1956 euro ragtop, September 2016 HotVWs feature and cover car. This car has won multiple awards including several Best of Shows. Recently finished (January 2016) 20 month panoff restoration. Everything on this car has been touched and is meticulously detailed. Matching numbers pan and body as well as a vert W decklid.
Engine:
1915cc, 94mm pistons, 120 cam, CB straight cut cam gear, 48 Italian IDAs (real ones), CB 044 Magnum Plus 42x37.5 heads, ceramic coated/stainless steel A1 Sidewinder exhaust, electronic ignition, Bernie Bergman Porsche shroud with 110amp Alt.
Chassis:
4" narrowed airride beam, Airkewld airride bags in the rear, air shocks up front with electric valves. AZ transaxle built freeway flyer transaxle. 4 wheel AC Industries disc brakes.
Interior:
Ginger Unisuede w/chocolate vinyl seats and door panels. Full suede headliner made by Lenny Copp @ West Coast Classic Restoration. German square weave carpet. Flat 4 banjo steering wheel, Euro speedo built by Thorston in Germany, 6v restored Motorola Big M (6M, correct for a 56) radio (it works, but it's not hooked up), Vintage Speed shifter, 1700W sound system with 2x10" Polk Audio subs, 2x6" Polk Audio mids up front and 2x5" mids in the rear floor kickpanels and a Bluetooth head unit.
Paint:
Paint and body work was done by Levi Weir in Phoenix AZ. This car is 100% rust free and flawless. The color is L51 Bordeaux Red.
