1978 VW CONVERTABLEThis car was purchased by it`s current owner (3rd owner) in 1991 and became part of a small collection special interest cars. The car has all ways been in Palm Desert Ca. and has no rust issues. AS part of a collection of other restored cars it was decided to go through the VW and make it like new. The rebuild started in June of 1991 and included the following work. Removed Eng. for rebuildSent car to body Shop complete repaintnew interiornew topnew steering boxnew fuel inj. and fuel pumpSince the rebuild the car has received regular maint. with no major problems. The car has been driver intermittently over the past 24 yrs. . but has never been a daily driver and has had about 5000 miles put on it since it was added to the collection. The car runs fine and the finish on the car is still in very good shape with a few very small dings. The owner has decided its time to make room for something new in the collection. and so the VW will go to a new owner.
