1974 KARMANN GHIA COUPE SEMI AUTOMATICHas NO rust. I bought because it had no rust and to check out the semi-automatic but I'm not a big fan.Needs very little to make real sweet. I've only owned it since March but I just have too many (nice) cars.I've done:New clutch (by prior owner)New WheelsNew TiresNew shocks.New Tire Rod ends.New door cards.New antenae. (I have old one.)Basically cosmetic stuff. The car was originally green. Brown seats. I have the original seats. They will need to be recovered.I also have the spare tire. (Had no tool kit.)Car runs ok but needs tune up. Sport-o-matic clunks a little probably idle is too high or vacuum.I'm a CPA and by these cars to tinker with but I'm no mechanic.Needs plastic bushing in steering wheel. I looked and the piece isn't there at all. ($20 on Ebay.) Needs brake job. I have front pads and rear shoes- just never put on. Looks like one of the valve covers leaks. I bought a new one just didn't put it on.Has Cal-Look trim and cool mirrors. All lights and wipers work. Looks like it never had a radio.Hood and trunk and gas lid release all work. Headliner great shape. Parking brake works. Don't remember if odometer works. Don't know if it'sthe original engine.
