Selling my 1987 Syncro Vanagon with only 114k miles. I've had it for about a year and it has been a blast but it's time for a new toy. Unstoppable in the snow with the little 14 inch T/A's and a blast to drive around town. Plenty of cosmetic rust (and a worn out roof) but underneath is good and she's mechanically sound, ruises at 60 no problem. Interior has a new high quality vinyl seats from Sewfine and a rubber mat on top of plywood in the middle. Lots of room -- I used it as a mobile office here and there.
I'll make sure it gets a PA inspection + new rear bumper caps before the sale.
New:* 4 BFG T/A's* Front Control Arms* Black Vinyl (the good stuff) Interior from Sewfine* Muffler + Cat* Wires, istributor, lugs* Blaupunkt head unit* Previous owner claims it has a taller 4th gear for highway cruising. I can't verify this so take it with a grain of salt.
Bad:* No AC* Heater fan works intermittently* Seam rust / surface rust / lots of wear on the roof.* Dent on rear driver's side wheel well* Poorly installed speakers in rear* No middle seats* Slight power steering fluid leak from somewhere
Also interested trades (+/- cash) for:* Eurovan* 912* Watercooled 911* FJ60* Doka / Single Cab* LWB Range Rover* Something else interesting?

Update regarding 4th gear: the previous owner of the van saw thelisting and sent me this:
"That's my old Syncro, built the trans in it, t's a .83 4th gear, tock is .85. Glad to see it's still alive."
Again, can't confirm this but it seems nice of him to reach out.
