I am selling my 1963 Volkswagen Beetle. I bought this car from the original owner, family friend, s a project car but recently had an addition to my family and now don't have money or time to fully restore the old girl. The car is in its original paint, hich looks impressive for its age, f course there are scratches and a few rust spots but nothing major. The floor pans are only a few years old and rust free, ame goes for the battery bay. The motor is 1600cc which of course is NOT the original as it was a 1300cc for the deluxe model. The current motor has less than 10,000 miles on it and I have a new 1776cc pushing 100hp that I had planned on dropping in it, hich will come with the car along with other replacement parts. I will try to list all of them but there is a lot and quite frankly I'm not sure what all the old man gave me when he sold the car. I bought Empi 5 lug rims for the car which are on it now, still have the originals along with a set of 4 lug empi's the original owner thought would fit the car but obviously do not without adapters. I bought the adapters and they will come with the car, ut I did not like the stance it gave the car so I bought the 5 lug empi's that are on it now. The tires are almost brand new I bought them at the beginning of the year and have only drove the car about 100 miles since then. The radio does not work, t is a cheap aftermarket radio the original owner had put in it. I actually have 2 original vw radios that I had planned on getting fixed and putting in the car but never got to it. The rubber around the car is old and cracking but I have every piece of rubber needed to restore it. I also have brand new kick out rear windows that I was going to install to help with air flow through the car. The rag top is in good condition with no leaks but it is not new. The only spot on the car that needs work is on the passenger front door frame at the bottom. It is a typical place to find rust and this bug is no exception. The spot is about the size of a quarter and is in the pictures provided, would cut it out and weld in a new piece of metal. The front seats in this car are not the original, he old man wanted more back and head support so he changed them out for a pair of high back seats. This car is a definite head turner as it is in such great condition, eople are always waving at me and asking me questions at stop lights. I know you will be as pleased with this car as I have been and hopefully you can finish what I have started.
