Meet Opie - he was special ordered in 1981 by my father at Rusnak VW at 8855 W Washington Blvd in Culver City, A - Opie has never left CA, lways garaged and covered. Opie has been meticulously maintained for over 34 years with all repair receipts, ll original owners manuels, amp equipment manuels, rigingal window sticker and only 80k original miles. I added a new Pioneer Stereo with toggle switch so you can turn it on when camping - I have the original Blaupunkt am/fm radio also. I added a 1100 Watt Invertor and auxiliary battery for camping and there is an automatic trickle charger to keep the auxiliary battery charged - just plug electric into the outside hookup - This van is in amazing shape and I will drive it anywhere - it PURRS - when idling you cant even hear the motor - All Camp Equipment Works as it should and the Ref will even make ice - have the ice cub trays too
All original curtains and upholstery are in excellent condition - carpet looks new
I would use the Westy about 2 times a year for camping, ever smoked in, tove was never cooked on, ust heated water, ink works great. Here is all mechanically that has been done
Oil changes every 3k miles
New pop top seals
Always passes CA Smog - Current Registration
Replaced all gas hoses on engine and at tank new groumets and vent hoses
New brake master cylinder and clutch master
New windshield washer/water motor
New Front Grill
Replaced Rack & Pinion Boots, ew back up light switch, ew screen on window/cargo door

Also wanted to ad that the van also had factory under coating when bought new and is still in great condition

The Westy has its original paint with pin stripes and its been waxed at least 2x per year since new - it does shine pretty darn good - misc rock chips in front but overall condition is great for a 34 year old van
