Description

1972 VW Bus - Kampmobil
- this bus has a great back story and I truly believe in this condition it is a gem
- original barn find
- this bus is a true southern bus, ot rust rot, ust rich patina, ts all sun burn, omething that you can not duplicate, he orange you see is sun burn - its smooth to the touch (pictured)
- it sat in a garage behind a service station for 5 years, hen sat in a barn for another 15 years, he original motor (which is included) needs pistons and cylinders
- it currently has a 2.0l pancake motor that was rebuilt w/ Weber Carbs and new runners and fresh clutch, ery strong - plenty of pop
- the bus drives great and starts up first crank without any effort
- underneath the bus is also great - minimal surface rust - no rot
- the exterior and interior are all original condition and everything is there - no wrecks or damage - body is straight as an arrow with the exception of a few minor dings
- all the original interior is here - unmolested - sink, oilet, efrigerator, torage bins and compartments, eats, older bed, tc
- original dashboard with no cracks
- it has relatively new Kelly tires that have very low miles on them
- original wheels are in great condition with factory hub caps
- front disc - rear drums - stops well - brake pedal a little firm - but it comes with the territory
- kamper top will need new canvas
- front windshield has a crack
- all windows and glass are original w/ vw logos & in great condition (minus the windshield of course)
- I have a video of start up - text me if you need any photos additionally
The only real things to note:
- Front Windshield crack
- Once had a radio - it has been removed
- door panels are very flimsy - repro door panels are very cheap and would look much better anyway - that would be the route you want to take
- seats have model specific covers on them because the original cloth seat material is deteriorated on driver side
- blinkers act up a little
- sliding door sticks at the very end of its travel - opens well but at the fully open position it sticks a little - just needs a little effort to close
