Description

Very Original California Westfalia. In Maryland last 5 years after cross country trip.Under-carriage is extra clean with NO rust thru Anywhere. Interior is clean and in great condition. All camping equipment (refrigerator,stove,sink,water supply) is original and in good working condition.Front seats swivel and the armrests and the dash are in good condition. Has been well maintained with correct fluids. Runs and drives nicely & I would not hesitate to drive back cross-country. Body (orig. color L90 White) has a faded white Repaint but No rust thru anywhere! Rear bumper has a dent and needs one plasic end cap replaced.There is a dent on the left rear 1/4 panel. The drivers side mudflap needs better attachment and there is some white overspray on a some of the rubber trim. A few spots of surface rust have appeared on some of the body seams (to small to see in photos). Top canvas is in good condition and goes up and down easily; there is a repaired area at the rear of the canvas.. The Vanagon is watertight and the rubber seals are good.The steering and front-end components,shocks,brakes,exhaust,tires,wheels all good condition.Belts and hoses were replaced more than 5 yrs.ago.The transmission & Clutch are very good.The cooling system has been drained & serviced. A/C system is ready for more freon (still type R-12). Heater and vents are working. All the camper glass,window screens & the windshield & wipers are in good working condition .The Electrical system,wirin, alternator,signal lights,interior and camper lighting is all good. Have the original owners manuals...The 1986 -1991 are rated as the best Vanagons to own and maintain. This Westy is a very nice & fun camper, t is NOT a $30,000 show car!
