1986 Volvo 240 DL
This is a well cared for, uper clean and well-maintained vehicle. It runs and drives fineand has the had the following maintenance done within the last 1000 miles:
New exhaust from catalytic converter on back.
New tires all around.
New pads and rotors all around.
New water pump.
New driveshaft center bearing.
Some rust is starting around the fuel filler door and on the inside corners of the doors but nothing major. While under the vehicle I could tell it was heavily rust-proofed early in its life.
A few dings here and there like on the trunk lid. Looks like someone over-packed it and closed the lid as there as a few small outward dings on the lid.
The paint shines up well but if you look close there are small scratch marks visible from drive-through car washes.
The only thing that doesn't work is the air conditioning. The compressor is froze.
Manual seats and windows.
A few small age cracks in the top of the dash.
I purchased the vehicle a little over a year ago at a local auction. From what I could tell, t was offered by the original owner. I bought it for my son who was just learning to drive at the time.
Vehicle has only been driven about 6,000 miles a year on average. That's why I bought it.
The previous owner performed the following maintenance:
Starter on 12/13/11.
Both front lower ball joints on 9/6/12.
Front struts, otor mount and transmission mount on 6/15/13.
For the sake of full disclosure, he odometer stopped working shortly after I bought it. The typical issue is a broken gear within the odometer unit. I bought a new gear, ook it apart, nd found that the gear was good so I then suspected either a bad stepper motor that drives the odometer or a bad circuit board. In any case, ince it was an extra vehicle, didn't drive it during the odometer down time. I eventually purchased a used odometer unit, et it to the existing mileage at the time, nd put it in. Works great once again.
I pulled it out of the garage to take the photos and just as I did it started to snow so any streaks or spots you see in the photos are from the falling snow.

Open to cash offers or trades for Series Land Rover parts.
Vehicle is being listed locally as well and is offered without any form of warranty.
After I listed the vehicle I took a look at the AutoCheck and saw that it shows some kind of title issue in the past when it was in Ohio. Don't know what that is about. I ran a VIN check before I bought it and it didn't show anything. I printed a copy of it and can email upon request. Vehicle has a clear Michigan title and is currently registered. Thanks.
