Description

This should answer any questions about the cars reliability and status. Last weekend I drove this car. round trip. from San Diego to UC Davis. over 1000 miles. and the car performed flawlessly. I went to a Volvo car show put on by the VCOA and walked away with 2nd place! A little history. The car was purchased by a family friend when she was 72. She was still driving the car until she passed at 91. She used the car just to go around town and never wandered too far from home and never drove at night. (Some dash lights are out but she never knew it). Apparently didn't drive on the freeways either by evidence of a pit free. original windshield. and just one stone chip in the paint. The interior is practically new except for one small tear in the vinyl on the right rear door. The AC blows cold but the dash switch went out and for some reason her son converted the rear window defrost button to the AC button. (Easy to fix) I think there may be two reasons it didn't take first place. Compared to the first place car my car is fairly plain (no turbo. cloth seats. standard wheels. etc) and the clearcoat on my car is scratched from years of brushes at a car wash. I have owned the car since December and have done the following: Oil and filter changed Wipers replaced Brake fluid flush and changed Front brake rotors replaced Brake pads replaced Front end alignment done Automatic transmission flushed Battery replaced with a new genuine Volvo batteryI don't want to hide that the fact that clear coat is not in good condition. but it is very hard to capture in a photo.
