Description

1972 VOLVO P-1800ES

Here is one really fabulous car. This is a 1972 Volvo P-1800 ES Wagon. The car overall is in really nice shape and the color is really nice.

The car is original except for a repaint that’s pretty close to original but off a bit. The interior is in good condition with a little wear showing on the drivers seat center inserts.

The car has been in storage for many years. I had my mechanic who has worked on many P-1800's get her running now and fix a few small things like the transmission linkage that camedisconnected. The car will drive onto a transport truck or trailer now. The engine is strong and the transmission is rebuilt and I have the paper work.

The car has factory Air Conditioning and its all there and hooked up. We haven’t tested it. The automatic transmission has been rebuilt and I do have the receipt. I would say if there are any rust issues...there small. The original floors are solid and original. The lower body is nice.

I was told the car was parked due to the brakes needing work. This story is backed up due to the fact new in the box brake parts are in the car.

The car has strong oil pressure and the temperature is normal. The car had antifreeze topped off and the oil looked fairly clean and at level. I have placed a new battery in the car points and plugs. The car comes with some extra parts including a lower dash cap original owners manual and a large original service book.

All the glass is good. I have two original ignition keys but the fuel door and back glass hatch key will need to be cut at a locksmith. The back glass opens but doesn’t currently locks. All in all...if you’ve wanted a P-1800 ES but don’t want to step up to a $20000 for a restored car this is it. With a few weekends tinkering and not a lot of money...this will make you a nice car to make as nice as you like.

If you’ve got questions I’ve got answers. Feel free to contact Houston Wills at 210-548-1310. The car is located in San Antonio Texas.
