VOLVO 780 by Bertone
...A somewhat rare coupe of Italian aesthetic and handling coupled with Swedish engineered reliability! The 780 is an appreciating classic, nd growing more collectible yearly. This car is sporty, till turns heads, arners compliments and questions, nd remains very driveable. It features a fresh low mileage newer 93 turbo motor - the most desired redblock VOLVO made with advanced crank lubrication system. The engine is lightning quick and pulls strong with no smoke or issues. Timing belt was changed appx 8,000 miles ago. The heavy duty Aisin-Warner trans shifts smooth and strong with no issues. Handling and braking all appear in good order too. I did note a bit of brake pedal travel after the car sat in the garage for about a month.
The exterior presents overall nicely. Paint is original and has a few scuffs here and there along with a few stone chips. The car still retains decent paint sheen and features a solid body with no cancer or rot. It does have a few random surface rust "freckles" resulting from stone chips.The car has undergone somewhat of a monochrome paint scheme "upgrade" to the front grille and rear bumper. The front rubber trim was left factory black. This work could be completed - taken back original - or enjoyed in present form. The fuel door is missing and as with most 780's it is missing the front air dam/spoiler. We do have the grille assembly and an extra rear bumper assembly too. These are not pictured but will be included in the shipment.
The interior features Volvo's most desirable desert tan color scheme with full power 8-way leather seats, lack and burlwood accents and a fully functional sunroof. The seats in this car are newer and are quite supple, oft, nd presentable. All electrics function correctly as they should. The seat-back release lever on the drivers side is randomly finicky and suspect the cable needs adjustment, ut back seat access can be easily had by moving the seat forward. The audio system was upgraded too with new speakers (old ones had rotted foam surrounds) and a higher powered amplifier for the trunk speakers. The system sounds real clean and powerful, ith improved bass response. The instrument cluster was a diy "IPD" type upgrade, eaturing white faced instrument legends. It looks quite sharp and calibration seems accurate, ave for the fuel gauge needle (which reads about 20% out of range). Also the water temp gauge is flakey and sometimes doesn't read. We have verified that engine temps are operating within normal range though - so no issues there, ut this should be sorted, nd suspect it's just a temp sending unit that needs replacing. The heater and all vents work fine but the AC isn't working currently, ut I don't suspect anything major. Some of the interior trim has obviously aged. The lacquer on the wood has cracked in places and the glove box has a crack too. All relatively easy items to sort. All in all, decent car with unique looks and styling - and that legendary VOLVO safety and reliability!

Engine: VERY STRONG and Newer w/ no more than 134,000 miles logged.
Transmission: Strong & smooth steps thru all gears as it should.
Exhaust: Solid, nd no leaks, issing exhaust tip on resonator.
Cabin: Solid and quiet and with no squeeks or leaks.
Tires: Overall good with one worn.
Chassis: Solid and tracks well, ay need alignment.
Brakes: Stops swift & smoothly and ABS appears to
work correctly. * I did note the ABS light came on
after I cleaned the wheels, ut it went out again.
Climate: Heat works - AC needs recharge.
Seats: Front electrics all work and surfaces good.
Paint: Shines nice but so-so due to stone chips.
Instrumentation: All functional with cosmetic upgrades except
fuel gauge needle needs proper calibration
and temp gauge intermittent.
Audio: Upgraded speakers, mplifier, nd head unit.
Interior: Presentable with some noted cracks and flaws.
Spares: All factory tools and full size spare present.
All in all a decent little coupe and offered at a sensible opening price!

Packing
Getting Your item to You safely and intact is of paramount importance to us! We are skilled packers and craters and know how to PROPERLY package fragile and valuable items. Each item has it's own unique packaging requirements. We apply the appropriate method to ensure safe arrival. Our process minimizes damage risks considerably, husly avoiding headache and heartache for both of us. Large loudspeakers are generally crated and make generous use of sheet styrofoam on all 6 sides. Vintage amps, urntables, ape Decks and Preamps are typically double boxed, sing polyfoam or equivalent padding to minimize shock - tubes are either removed and packed seperately, r protected against impact accordingly.
We charge a modest fee for packing time and materials, s both cost us in terms of manpower and the materials can get costly. The packing fee is always noted in our listings, o "No Surprises"Shipping
Smaller items will be handled via Fedex Ground or UPS in the USA & Canada -In certain instances we will us the US Postal system too and their "flat rate" packs. International shipping will be FedEx Economy Air fully insured with tracking number provided. on costlier items. International priority post is an option as well
Large items will be moved on commercial carrier via ECHO GLOBAL LOGISTICS. Projected costs are based on delivery to a business with a dock or forklift. Residential "lift gate" gate deliveries of said add a surcharge of up to $85 (depending on carrier). International will be via DB SCHENKER (Generally airport to airport, nless You request door to door - which adds about 25% to the cost). We
