I have for sale a very rare CJV-35. This is a running and driving Jeep. It is far from mint however. I've had this Jeep about 6 years.
This CJV has lived a pretty rough life. Its had several engines including two different V6's. That means the floors were cut and modified several times. It also saw several years of duty on a tree farm. Its had multiple sprayers and equipment on it from time to time and the mounting holes verify it. I filled over 30 in the front bumper alone. I sold the last V6 that was installed in it several years ago.
It has set in my garage untouched for the last 4-5 years. I found a rebuilt L134. I ran it about 5 years ago to check it out and it was perfect at the time. It now smokes when first started but gets better as it heats up. I'm thinking the valve seals may have become brittle from the ethanol gas. Otherwise it runs and drives great, hifts as it should. It has lockout hubs on the front. There is a new exhaust system on it and new master cylinder. Brake lines have been replaced.
The front floors were trashed from all the engines. I pieced together a floor with spare Jeeps I had laying around. Not pretty but its solid. It will need a new floor panel such as Omix-ADA sells to make it correct. There is a rust through spot on the right rear corner down low and where the spare tire mount was. Otherwise a sound old Jeep.
I rattle can painted it to protect the body. Again, wire brushed it only, ot a whole lot of effort. It looks good from 40-50 feet. The windshield and tailgate are the Forest Service green it was painted when I got it. The original olive drab color is on the inside of the tool box lid.
The windshield is good and the interior seats are perfect. There is a new set of gauges installed. I have the original military rotary light switch. It needs to be disassembled and cleaned. I also have the original hood. It has the original government markings on it. Its had many racks on it over the years so there are lots of holes. It has a new Champion aluminum radiator. Also has a aftermarket Solex carburetor on it. I do have a Carter WO to go with it. It will need to be rebuilt. Its wired to be handy for me. It has LED tail lights. The low beam heal lamps come on with the switch. The high beams come on with the foot switch. So both high and low come on together. It has all the original tags on the dash with the exception of the 35U tag, t is reproduction. The original has a hole cut in it for the defroster from the heater. There is NO heater in it at this time. It has the original lifting rings on the back, he original tow hooks on the front and the unique to the CJV sheet metal headlight rings. I also have the original gas tank with the relief in the side to clear the generator. I put a new tank in it for reliability. I believe the old tank is good just needing cleaning and maybe sealing it. The original tank was being used when I got the Jeep.
I'm putting this Jeep out there for sale, ot a fire sale. It is priced fairly with a little wiggle room for the right deal. This is a rare Jeep. At least when you spend the 7-10 grand restoring it right, he moneys there.
