Rare opportunity to own and wheel a classic 1946 Novak Conversion Flatfender Willys CJ2A.
This 1946 Willys CJ2A is mounted on a ‘63 CJ5 frame with all the guts of an 80’s Novak Conversion.
This Four-Wheeling Flatty sits on 35” mud-terrains powered by the quintessential Jeep Flatfender Buick 231 V6 -- a ’78 231ci 2bbl, turning a TH350 3-speed automatic tranny from a ’78 Trans Am, cranking through a bullet-proof Dana 18 transfer case. The D18 spins a Dana 44 rear axle with 11” drums and a Dana 30 up front with disc brakes and 6-bolt locking hubs.
This Jeep was professionally converted by Novak Enterprise (NOVAK ADAPT) [Date unknown]
Here’s what Novak says about the components in this Jeep:
o ’78 Buick 231ci V6: This is an even-fire V6 based on the original GM ‘Dauntless’ engine
o ’78 TH350 Auto Tranny: One of the greatest automatic transmissions ever built.
o ‘63 Dana 18 T-Case: One of the most famous and recognizable transfer cases of all time.
In addition to the late-70’s powertrain, this professionally modified JEEP also comes with:
o Power Brakes with Front Discs
o Power Steering & Tilt Steering Wheel
o Custom Racing Seats & 2-Point Lap Belts
o Removable Soft Top with Full Roll Cage
o A ready-for-restoration, period-correct Warn 8274 winch
o A second, raised-letter oem CJ2A hood
This vehicle is titled and legally registered as a 1963 CJ5. VIN: 57548144786
This Jeep starts easy, runs strong, and the entire 4WD drive train works as designed.
