Description
Gorgeous 1972 Alfa Romeo GTV 2000 Rare opportunity to acquire a beautiful. rare and great-running GTV that is ready for active useFor sale is my beautiful 1972 GTV. This car came from an auction a few years ago and it has always run really nice. A real driver's car! This '72 GTV offers the superb 60's classic-style body design while having a larger engine (2. 0L vs the previous 1. 6L) and more advanced mechanicals and safety measures. The exterior is a grayish gold. which is in my opinion the best color as it accentuates the lines of the car while it gives an awesome 60's feeling as you can see in the pictures. The interior is black leather. The GTV is a car that almost any serious collector has had in his/her collection at one point in their lives. It is a classic and should continue to appreciate as the Alfa Romeo has made a comeback to the US (just look at when BMW brought the Mini brand back and the vintage Mini's went up dramatically). I am attaching pictures of a GTV brochure where you can see back in the day its competition was the Porsche 911. and you can see that the performance results are very similar. Condition: In the pictures you will see that the paint does have blemishes and could use some repainting at some point. Does look very nice from 20 feet away but if you look closer you'll see the parts where it does need some painting redone. The interior is the trickier one. It shows it's age a little bit and could use some work. I always meant to do it but I never had the time. The glove compartment door is not attached and comes off. It just needs to be screwed in. but again I never got to do it as I was planning to do some cleaning and restorations before that. So instead of doing it I'll leave it to the next owner. Also the dashboard has a crack as you can see in the pictures. Does not bother me but I also wanted to get that fixed. All-in. this car is in great shape mechanically. does need a little work esthetically. If you spend a little time and a little money on this car to revamp the interiors and maybe repaint some of the exterior you could make this car looks like a top of the line 40. 00 dollar GTV. Mechanically: Runs and feels great. Haven't had any issues with the car and always starts right away. It does have some tiny leaks like any old car. They're not noticeable on a daily basis but after a week sitting in the garage you will notice a little oil on the floor. I put a cardboard on the floor under the car and I haven't changed it once since I bought the car in 2013. This has been a wonderful car for me. I get a lot of looks and thumbs up on the street. During mild weeks (Houston is a hot city) I've used it as my daily driver but now I have to make room for my 4C. Again. the car came from an auction so I don't really know the car's past or any previous restorations. but I've had it for a couple of years now and haven't had any issues. The market for early 70's GTVs in good conditions is between 15. 00 for a car with real needs to 40. 00+ for a show car. I'm pricing this car low to sell it quick since my 4C has already arrived. I hope I had a 6-car garage and could keep the car. but I'm not there yet. I am a professional and reliable e-bayer. I have bought and sold many european cars on ebay before. I can help arrange shipping. I have never had an issue with shipping cars. This GTV is sold AS-IS with no warranties. You are welcomed (and encouraged) to either come see the car or send an inspector to check it out. drive it and take pictures (usually they charge about $150 at carchex. com and I've used them before). You can do it either before or after the action ends. A $500 deposit is required within 48 hours and the balanced paid within 7 days. You can pay the 500 paypal and the balance either cashier's check. ACH transfer. personal check (and wait until it clears). or a direct bank transfer. I've also used escrow. com in the past if you're concerned about the transaction. You send them the money and they keep it until the car has been delivered to you. In any case Ebay insures auto transactions up to 40k.
