Description

You are bidding on a 1962 Austin Healey Mk II BN7, he 2-seat version of the triple carb Austin Healey, nd the rarest production model Austin Healey made after the 100S. There were only 355 of these produced, ompared to 640 of the 100M models and 100 of the 100S models.

This car was owned by the same person from the ‘70s until about 2 years ago. It has never undergone any attempt at a restoration, he only modifications being one repaint in white over the original black several years ago, hanging from a generator to an alternator (the original generator is still present with the car in the trunk), nd changing the engine several years ago (the original matching numbers engine is still with the car and is included in this auction (see picture of it below)).

What little rust there is on this car is all visible in the pictures, eing located in the doglegs and to a lesser degree near the bottoms of the front fenders. The inner and outer sills, loors, runk, ender wells, ocker panels, rame, tc, re all rust-free.

I have the Heritage Certificate for the car which verifies that it is a complete, umbers-matching car throughout, ncluding the original engine, ransmission, gnition switch, nd keys. It also verifies that the original colors were solid black paint with red upholstery. The heritage certificate (BMIHT) will be included in this auction.

In looking up recent auction prices for this model in well-restored condition, found that one sold at an RM Auction in Augus, 014 for $165,000, nd another one sold at a Gooding’s Auction in August, 014 for $198,000.

I expect payment within 5 days of the end of the auction. The car can be picked up after your check has cleared my bank. Shipping is the responsibility of the buyer, ut I can give the name of a good, eliable shipper if you wish. NOTE: Buyer will be given a Bill of Sale and the North Carolina Title for this car.
