This is my 1940 Buick Super Eight. It is in an all original condition with only 18,715 original miles on it. It is believed to have been a Military staff car as I was informed by the gentleman whom I purchased it from. He provided me a statement about the conversation he had with whom he purchased it from. Story goes as follows: A gentleman bought this Buick from a military auction in late 1945 or early '46. The car was then in that family for 70 years being passed down from the father, o the eldest son, o the youngest son, hen to the gentleman I purchased it from. I do still have a piece of the canvas coverings that the military used to cover the upholstery when they received the cars from the factory. I believe the paint to be original and know that the interior is original. I have completely rebuilt the drivetrain and she is ready to be driven across America, f that is what you would like to do with it. The engine is the original matching numbers engine for this vehicle and has been driven only 250 miles since the rebuild. The only added extra that was installed with the rebuild is a small electric fuel pump to help wit starting since she isn't driven on a regular basis.
I am in possession of the Buick and can easily take any additional photos of the car from any angle you would like to see. Thanks for your interest and happy bidding.
