This car comes with a 1956 Buick Riviera Coupe body with excellent sheet metal and floors as a parts car and another 1956 Buick Convertible that is very very rough, ut you can remove what you from it as well.
Body:Rough and needs a complete restoration, ll convertible trim seems to be there including the pinch weld trim and windshield trim. I have not had it on ahoistbut from I can see the frame looks very good. The top folds up and down manually I'm not sure if it will fold by power. The parts car has an excellent body and decent chrome.
Interior:Needs it all but seems to be complete including a power seat.
Mechanical:The engine runs quite well I have not tried to drive it as the brakes need work.
Over All: With the easy of having an excellent parts car and yet another convertible to go with it, t should be an easy restoration. Almost everything you need is there and the second convertible can supply small parts if needed. The fact that it runs well is a big bonus. 1956 Buick Convertibles are verydesirableand worth a fortune when done. This is anopportunityto restore a car at a price that won't cause you to take a secondmortgageon your house to finish and will be worth more than the cost ofrestorationwhen done. It is an investment car that is going up in value. Hagerty put the restored value on this car at $90,000.00, verage at $38,000 and poor condition at $19000.00. I do not have pictures of the second convertible but it is well beyond saving, he frame is shot as is the body, ut much of the convertiblespecificparts are there. Because the X member in the frame is good on it and it has VIN and trim tags I had considered changing the Riviera coupe into a convertible using the second car but never got around to it. I only have pictures of the one side of the coupe because of where it is parked but both sides are excellent and rust free. I haven't had these cars for long I took as part of a trade and if they don't sell I will take the time to restore the convertible as it is a very worth while project.
Reason for Selling:I have asizablecollection of cars and projects and have reached the age that I havedecidedto downsize.
Location:The car is located in Salmon Arm British Columbia a few hours from the Washingtonborder. I canhelpfind a shipper and help with the paperworkif the car is being shipped to the US as I am familiar withthe process, ut I will only do this for thewinningbidder as it takes a lot of calls and emails to get the best price. I can also arrange for overseas shipment. If thewinningbidder is from the US I can have to car shipped to Seattle Washington (at the buyers cost) if that is a moreconvenientpickup location. There is no duty fees on this car if it is shipped to the US.
Other:I may be willing to strip down the parts cars for the winning bidder to save on shipping. There would be a cost involved because of the time it takes and will go over that with the new owner. This car is sold on an bill of sale.
