Click above arrow for must video of Ol' Ronda, 947 GMC pick up truck survivor running and driving! (if doesnt play, ry watching on non mobile device)
This truck was owned by a farmer in Red Wing Minnesota who had owned it since 1966. he passed away in 1995 and was stored until 2013 at which time I bought it at his estate sale. I have a clean minnesota title numbers matching ready for you to register. He drove the truck as a daily driver until 1995. I was going to do a full restoration onthis truck but have too many projects and I am downsizing my collection. We did a complete tune up to the truck, ew master cylinder brake, nd brake lines etc, onverted it to a 12 volt system. We did new exhaust and rebuilt the carb. What should be completed on the truck is a new wire harness as the original one is cloth and worn, he gas tank cleaned out or replaced (we ran it off a aux tank) we just did the rear brakes and front ones should be done. The windshield crank out mechanism is there but should be re-lubed. The windows go up and down but should be re-lubed to make it easier. As the video shows, his truck drives very nice like a 46/47 truck should. All of the gears shift like they should and the clutch is good. The brakes that are there stop the truck like they should. The engine runs great with no knocks, isses or smoke and fires up on the first try. This truck sits and looks very solid. This is a Survivor almost all steel truck with the original gmc 6 cyl. The petina looks great! it was raining when we did the video and it looked really nice, t would look awsome shot in clear coat to preserve the petina. The paint is original. I noticed some minor rust where the right fender meets the running board (easy fix) I went around the truck with a magnet and I notced while the truck is mostly steel, here were some minor spots on the fenders where I noticed some filler was used. I pictured any spot I did see. The underside looks good and the original wood is under the metal sheet in the bed and looks good. The tires look good and the wheels look awsome on the truck. The floors and cab look very solid (see pics and video) The glass is all there but there were cracks as pictured (flat glass easily fixed) We used this truck on our back country roads/dirt roads to drive around to the local trout streams and give rides to the grandkids. The kids named her Ol' Ronda and it stuck! This is a truck that you can have a blast with while tinkering with it and taking it to the next level. I drove it on average 5 miles each trip but each time I took it, t made me want to find an excuse to keep driving it. I do not want to overcall it or undercall it as it is not a truck you can drive all the way to california due to the gas tank, ire harness etc, ut for a driving solid survuvior 47 gmc pickup truck, ou will be very pleased with it. I invite you to check the truck out yourself by appointment or hire ebay to do a independant inspection for you before placing a bid. I require a 500 non refundable deposit within 24 hours of auction end. If I do not get the deposit within the time frame or before you come for the truck, will assume you are a dreamer or a scammer and not serious about buying it. I can help recommend shippers I have used in the past. If you have any questions at all, all me at 563 568 5111 or 563 568 1182 .Thanks and have fun bidding on our Ol' Ronda 1947 gmc truck!!
