This car is the real thing, n original, ll steel Chevrolet. I started with a California built car, ith very little rust, nd I had the body chemically dipped. The floors and rockersare original and very solid. The lower quarters and trunk were the only major components replaced by American Muscle Car in Rialto, A. American Muscle Car has won prestigious national awards, nd they were featured on the last season of Chop, ut, nd Rebuild for their '67 Chevelle build. The quarters were "oil canned" from a previous owner rolling the lips. All welds are butt welds and ground down to where they are virtually unnoticeable. There is no lap welding on this car. The entire trunk pan was replaced as there were small holes and thin spots, hich were likely caused by someone leaving a battery in the trunk. The trunk was removed by cutting the factory spot welds at the factory seams and re-welding a new pan with a factory style spot welder, xactly as the factory did it. Nearly every ding and dent has been massaged out, rofessionally. All body gaps have been improved to show-car standards. Unnecessary fire wall holes have been patched and butt welded. The door and trunk hinges were rebuilt, nd the hood hinges are new. The rear shelf has been unmolested, nd only the factory speaker holes remain. Please take note of the custom front fender extensions. They have been boxed-off and finished on the bottom. The blue tape that you see in the photos is to protect new parts.
The chassis is original to the car. It was built by Bob Bauder of Crestline, A. Bob is a prominent and multi-award winning car builder. It is a vintage style straight axle with new Wilwood disc brakes and So-Cal chrome shocks. The rear axle is a new Curry Ford style 4:11 limited-slip unit with new drum brakes and chrome So-Cal shocks. The drive-line and U-joints are new from Inland Empire Drive-Line. A drive shaft loop is installed. The steering column is new from Ididit with a rebuilt stock steering box for that vintage look.New e-brake lines are in place. A stock style fuel tank is installed. Ladder bars and roll bar perches round off the frame. This is a completely custom built straight axle, ot a generic sub-frame.
The engine in the frame is a bare 327. I have had this motor sonic tested and magnafluxed, nd it is good to go for a rebuild (spec sheet available). I have a good steel crank, ods,and camel hump heads to go with the motor, ut they will need machining. Of course any small block Chevy will fit in the chassis.Ceramic coated Headers are new and from Thorley. The Aluminum bellhousing is new. The trans is a completely rebuilt M-20 with new Hurst linkage and shifter. Included is a new hydraulic clutch assembly from Kiesler for ease of operation. (Does not include clutch or pressure plate.) However, standard Z-bar clutch linkage can still be installed.
Tires and wheels are new, hrome reverse and reproduction cheaters in the rear, ragar's and period correct reproduction Goodyears up front.
The tail lights, eadlight bezels, eadlight buckets, oor handles, ide mirror, ear bumper, ood bar and extensions, and some other trim pieces are also high end products from Danchuck.
Many hours were spent on the custom fabrication of the new Moon tank bracket, ntegrating it with the tie bar and hood mount for a solid fit. I chose to keep the inner fenders for structural integrity. I also decided to stay with an all steel front end, nd these pieces are not reproduction. Tilt hoods are very cool, ut there are some problems associated with them. No hole has been cut in the hood, s I made no decision as to the induction system.
I have some additional original pieces such as most of the side trim, nbsp;most of the window trim, ear glass, iberglass buckets, eat sliders, adiator, arnishes, eadliner bows, tc.
In short, have had this car built to the highest of standards by some of the best craftsmen in the business. No expense has been spared, one! I have spent tens of thousands of dollars on this car, uch, uch more than my starting bid. I have a large file of all receipts and photo documentation to support my claims, nd it is available for review. It would take volumes for me to point out all of the unique and expensive work that was done to this car. If you are truly interested in this car, would suggest that you call me for all of the details. Inspection of the car is welcome, nd it is located about an hour from Los Angeles. If you are looking for a clean slate to build an award winning gasser, his is your car.
I hold a clear CA title with a current non-op certificate. The rear plate depicted goes with the car but is not currently assigned to the car. A deposit of $1,000.00 through PayPal is required immediately at the close of the auction and full payment within seven (7) business days. The winning bidder will need to arrange for their own transportation of the car. Please don't bid on this car unless you are serious. Thank you. Jeff, 60-596-9891 (calls only, o text messages).
