1965 Corvair 500 custom. This car was purchased a number of years ago as a shop demo car for our service center to draw traffic in (pretty cars do this WELL) It already had a nice interior and ran / drove good but was showing its age on the outside. All of the fiberglass body work was repaired and the car was repainted subaru world rally blue. It absolutely POPS on this car, veryone loves the color. The paint has a few small spots of rust bubbling popping up at the drip rail and one small dent on the pass side quarter panel where a customer hit it with a door (grrr) other then that the thing is still just about flawless despite the paint job being about 3 years old. Its got a sunroof, hevrolet rally wheels (from a 71 chevelle) a corsa dash modified to accept the standard dash shifter for that powerglide trans. Bucket seats from a corvair monza with a nice 2 tone cloth and vinyl interior. The car does start run and drive well but needs a few loose ends handled to be nice. The gas tank was bad so we put a fuel cell in the trunk and just never got around to putting a proper tank in. the fuel pump went out so an electric one was rigged up temp inline. Much of the exhaust is new but the tail pipe and muffler assembly we got did not fit and we never got around to making a new one. The engine however is tight, tarts easily and makes no bad sounds or smoke. Plenty of power from the engine and good shifts from the transmission! Let this car advertise for you or put it back on the road for fun. Its up to you! This car is listed withreserve well under what we have in the car. This vehicle is being sold by a dealer located in Richmond Virginia. Because this is a dealer sale the title will need to be put in the buyers name. We prefer that all buyers visit ahead of time to inspect the vehicle and be available after purchase to do paperwork in person, owever we can make arrangements to ship documents to the buyer and release the vehicle for pickup once the necessary documents have been signed copied and returned (we do this quite often)
Local delivery is available (within Virginia) for an additional fee. We are happy to accommodate shipping companies during normal business hours but no loading assistance will be available for liability reasons.
