Description

As long as there's gasoline in the pumps, eople are going to drive Shoebox Chevys. This 1955 Chevrolet 210 2-door sedan, ith its recent build, nvites you out on to the open road and any place car guys gather to compare hardware, his car will be very welcome.Finished in the mid-2000s, his bright Corvette Yellow 210 has a very high-intensity look, aking it the kind of car that always seems to attract a lot of attention at shows. The 210 has a simpler look than the Bel Air and there are plenty of guys who will appreciate its more minimalist attitude. That doesn't mean plain, nd you can clearly see in the photos that this car is neatly finished with a lot of hours invested in the final paint job, lthough it does have a few signs of use since it was finished. The body fits together well, he gaps are good all around, nd nothing has been modified or shaved. That's good news for fans of the '50s, ecause all the bright stainless trim and super sharp chrome details are 100% intact and wonderfully restored. The Chevrolet script is super crisp, he side trim has checkerboard-style inserts that forecast the coming '60s look, nd the California-style 1-piece bumpers have a great shine that really dress it up.The slick black interior has a 1950s vibe with a bit of an edge. The original bench is still in place and the stitching replicates the factory styling, ut the materials and all the highly polished details give it a more custom look. There aren't many dashboards more attractive than the '55 Chevy's, o that was retained and restored, omplete with the shiny band of metal trim that runs from end to end. The original steering wheel was replaced with a more modern 3-spoke unit, nd a set of auxiliary gauges was installed in addition to the factory dials. There's a Lokar shifter on the floor which gives it an old school custom feel and you can hang your hand on it while you go cruising and the carpets around it are new. The original AM radio is still in the dash so it has an appropriate 1950s look, lthough it's no longer functional. The trunk is also cleanly finished with a black rubber mat, s original.Of course you already knew that you'd find a small block Chevy under the hood, 350 cubic incher in this case. Dripping with chrome and Chevy Orange paint, t looks every bit as great as it runs and you won't have to think twice about opening the hood at a show. There's nothing radical, ust a proven reliable combination that features an Edelbrock intake manifold, olley carburetor, nd HEI ignition system. Long-tube headers dump into a custom dual exhaust system, nd a TH350 3-speed automatic transmission drives the original rear end. A fairly stock suspension means it rides and handles well enough to drive cross-country, lthough it has been upgraded with power front disc brakes for safety. Camaro SS wheels look cool and are finished with 205/75/15 blackwalls, hich are a great contrast to the bright bodywork. There's a reason these cars remain perennial best-sellers year after year, nd this is a great entry-level example that'll make you a proud owner for years to come. Call today!
