Description

1971 Datsun 240z. Highly modified
I am moving to the east coast for work and will not have room for her anymore. I have had her since 2000, nd have steadily upgraded since then. She was my daily driver until 8 years ago, nd since has been garaged and only driven formaintenancepurposes. She runs just fine, nd is a lot of fun! Her ride has been described by my friends and family as a "go-cart with a jet-engine". She was dyno'd when I built the engine at 307HP and 319 ft-lbs of torque. If you are in the Southern Calfiornia area, recommend you come visit the car. Here are the details:

EXTRA STUFF, omes with car but not installed:- TENZO racing seats. They just need an adapter rail (~$100) to be installed.- Hood bra- Misc. parts and tools which I no longer need.
Full Disclosure:
I want to make clear some items which may not be readily evident unless you witness the car:- The car has an INCREDIBLE amount of torque, nd does not have traction in first gear, nd part way through second. I would recommend an LSD.- Car has not been registered for the past 8 years.Recentlyreceiveda quote from the DMV for $600 to bring it up to date. I can either register it prior to purchase or you can deduct $600 from the purchase price. Title is in-hand.- The keys and alarm remote was lost during my last move. Car can still be started up just fine, ut I recommend a new set of locks and possibly an alarm remote.- The car was painted back in 2003, ut has since started chipping/peeling in some areas.- Car was backed into when parked, nd has moderate damage to the nose of the hood and the bumper- The driverside seat stitching is coming undone.- The fuel gauge, mpmeter, il gauge, nd temperature gauges do not work- The valve guide dynamic seals are old and leaking. As typical, he engine will burn oil when rev'd from idle due to oil leaking past he seals. seals should be replaced.- The tires, lthough not worn, re old and have begun to harden. As such, raction is not optimal. Tires should be replaced.- Although the car is running fine, do not recommend this car for a non-mechanic or mechanical enthusiast, s this isdefinitelya hobby car.- Someone broke into the car once, nd stole the CD player at the time, nd the SDS fuel management terminal. CD player was replaced. You can buy the terminal for a few hundred bucks from SDS. I have not needed to modify the fuel management system for the past 8 years.
