1983 DATSUN NISSAN 280ZX TURBO HIGHLY ORIGINAL SURVIVOR - LAST YEAR OF THE 280Zs

BEAUTIFUL 1983 DATUSN 280ZX...THE LAST YEAR FOR THIS FAMED SERIES!

POWERFUL 2.8L "L28ET" TURBO 6-CYLINDER ENGINE!

COOL DIGITAL DASH

GREAT COLORS!

GREAT DRIVING!

GREAT LOOKS!

GENERAL OVERVIEW...this was obviously a beloved car as it received far better care and maintenance than the average 30+ year-old vehicle. Aside from a likely repaint at some point and some interior improvements it is fair to say that the car is a highly original and well-cared for classic rather than a fully restored car.

It is a pleasure to drive and inspires confidence on the highway. The OEM audio that Nissan supplied is one of the best factory-provided units of the era and still performs impressively. Exterior lighting radio power windows horn and gauges all checked out fine during the photo-session. The cruise control and clock were not operative and it appears that a rear wiper was removed in favor of the louvered sun-shade that was installed many years ago.

A good deal of maintenance documentation is included...with some receipts dating back 20 years. The original manual is included.

Finally because the car is a well-maintained and highly original vehicle vs. a totally restored car...please expect a degree of age and use patina/wear. We also noted some limited areas of corrosion along the front edge of the hood and just above the windshield (see images at right). Otherwise the car appears to be very solid...including the undercarriage which is also shown. Note that there is also a small dent/scrape on one fender.

IMPORTANT IMAGE NOTES: To fully illustrate this classic 280ZX there are well over 100 images. The first 23 images are intended to give a quick overall presentation of the car from a variety of vantage points.

Seasoned collectors and enthusiasts know that to really "know" a car a close-up look all around the car is a MUST...so there are several sets of close-ups for serious buyers featuring the Exterior Interior Engine Compartment Wheels/Tires and Undercarriage.

To see ALL the images...you MUST place your cursor on an image - allow plenty of time for all images to download - and then scroll slowly ALL the way to the bottom. CAUTION: if you use the scroller to the FAR RIGHT of your screen or the "Click to view image album" feature...you will NOT see all the images.

2566 TRANSACTIONS WITH HAPPY PEOPLE! As of the date of this listing we've had 2566 transactions (both buying and selling) on eBay without a single complaint. One of the keys to our selling success is the use of LARGER and MORE images than you will likely see in ANY other eBay listing...so you can CLEARLY see what you are getting.

QUESTIONS? Please call Jim Murphy at 706-429-7924 if you have any questions that this description or the pictures at right do not answer for you. COLLECTIBLE INVESTMENT POTENTIAL...the Datsun "Z" series cars - known internally at Nissan as the "S130" - have an enthusiastic collector following. Shortly after this model's introduction in 1978 it won Motor Trend's Import Car of the Year Award - a substantial achievement! The 1983 is of particular interest among enthusiasts of 280ZX cars because it is the very last year of the series...and has the most refinements of its generation.

Though this very sharp 1983 Datsun 280ZX is a very good highway performer and fun to drive it remains a 32 year-old vehicle. Any car of any year will require maintenance and repairs...often without notice. Therefore this sale is strictly on an as-is and final basis with no warranties or liabilities expressed or implied. Likewise due to its design limitations there is no warranty of odometer accuracy...the vehicle's actual mileage cannot be verified or known with certainty.

Every effort has been made to present this car completely and accurately to the best of our knowledge and resources but errors and oversights are possible. Therefore pre-purchase examination of the vehicle (if desired) is welcomed before the listing's end and can be easily arranged by appointment. QUESTIONS?
