Finding a great forty year old Panteracan bea pretty daunting task. Original seems to be a seller’s code word for scruffy and restored can leave a lot of room for interpretation. Most Panteras have been modified and often not in a good way. Collector quality examples of these Ghia body, Ford engine hybrids are few and far between.
Our Pantera is one of the best you’ll ever come across. It is a 17,681 mile car that has only had two private owners. The paint is truly exceptional. We scanned the body with a paint meter and by all appearances the paint is original. The interior upholstery and carpeting are original and also excellent. Even the tires are the original Goodyear Arrivas.
The original owner ran a popular Sirloin Pit in Fairfield, Connecticut. He drove the car 14,774 miles before selling it in 1978 through Import and Domestic Motors to a thirty five year old gentleman from a neighboring town. The new owner treasured the car keeping it in show condition. He spent more time polishing the car than driving it. He put on less than 3,000 miles over his three and a half decades of ownership.
The second owner had a winter home in Florida where he eventually moved the car. There he befriended a local collector car dealer who passed the car to us after the owner’s death.
Since the owner’s passing, the car has had a super detailing and all the mechanical systems checked and brought up to top working order. We have detailed photographs of the car before detailing documenting its originality.
Looking for a Pantera? Save yourself a frustrating search. Our car is the exception. It is a 17,681 mile well preserved, show detail example. It has excellent original paint and near perfect interior. We don’t think you’ll find a better example.
