Description

Up for auction is my 1970 Dodge Super Bee. This the classic super bee, ith just a few upgrades. It has the original engine, ransmission, nd body parts that have a VIN stamped in them. All match. That is not to say that the car has not been in an accident. One of the doors on the car was originally yellow. At least one of the front fenders show the slightest impression indicating that the fender at one point had fender mounted turn signals. The power bulge hood appears to have a new top skin. It was a very good job, ut the framework under the skin shows two holes for hood pins which are not there. There are at least 2 coats of paint on the car. I believe the original color code was 999 (Orange) because the original color can be found in just a few places. My suspicion is that the dealer painted the car after it arrived. The paint job is just so thorough. They painted everywhere, ncluding jams, nder the hood, ll over the trunk, tc. This car does not have anidentificationplate. I have the name for the prior owner if someone wants to start finding the history. I bought the car in 1996. The car has been parked in my garage since I bought it. I have been working on it off and on for 19 years. Last summer I made sure the car was operable and legal so my adult children could drive it. For the few weeks that it was being driven the car started to leak everything or almost everything. That does make sense as the car was sitting for a long time. So over the next month or so I replaced the radiator with an aluminum 4 core 26" unit. I replaced the tail housing seal and the trans pan with a B&M deep pan with pickup extension. I also replaced the Holley with a Street Avenger. I replaced the valve covers with Mopar Aluminum. The power steering pump was replaced with OEM and both hoses. The 3 speed wiper motor has been replaced. The battery is not new, ut works great. It's a group 27. I added a heavy duty transmission cooler. All arm rests and cranks are new. The floor pans are rock solid and so is the trunk. There is rust exactly where you would expect to see it in a mopar of this age and style.I have kept most of the parts I have removed in case someone was motivated to restore.
Modifications: 15x5 and 15x8 1969 Style 5 Spoke Chrome Wheels with BF Goodrich Radial TAs. The spare matches (15x5). Tires have less than 300 miles. The exhaust has hedman headers with a 3" "X" pipe and 3" pipes exiting through V code square extensions. The interior was originally black. I have replaced both seats with with white. I replaced both door covers in white, have replaced both wall rear covers in white. All interior parts are from Legendary including the two headrests. I have mounted and wired two coaxial speakers in the rear using the holes that were original but they are not hooked up to the radio, hich does fire up but produces no sound.
Parts I do not have...original air cleaner, tock round exhaust tips, tock exhaust manifolds.
State of the car now: The oil pan is off to replace the rear main seal and put on a not-dented new pan, ot oem. I am also replacing the fuel pump. The car will have these changes completed upon delivery, ut an inspection now will not see it running, ut you can see the incredible cleanliness of the lower assembly.
Obviously there are many other parts I have replaced on this car...I just cant think of them now.
I really wanted to keep this car, ut as it goes...I need the cash. Very sad.
