UPDATE: I was able to get somefurther information from my dad. He purchased the car in 1998. At that time, e had the engine overhauled. There was some rust in the fenders. He replaced the rusted areas with new metal. Body filler was used only for blending the new metal. It was repainted at that time and the interior was reupholstered. I took it out for a drive today (November 1). Itdrove well. The only things I noticed was that the wipers did not work and the brakes did pull a little to one side. The brakes also seemed to require a fair amount of pressure when braking.
My dad also found an appraisal he had done probably 15 years ago. The appraiserratings on a scale of 1 to 10.Overall rating: 8Paint: 9Engine: 6Interior: 8Comments: "This car is in good shape! Body good. Trunk under construction.Engine to be dressed."
The trunk has since been completed. I'm not sure if any work has been done to the engine since then.
