Description

Cruise-ins were made for this 1932 Ford Pickup. It has the right custom look on the outside, comfortable upgrades on the inside, and a nice small block under the hood that makes a rumble without losing friends. It's a unique turnkey smile machine just waiting for you. From the first moment you lay eyes on this one, you know they got the stance to look just right. This Ford keeps the correct amount of original pickup with plenty of great hot rod touches. But that spirit goes beyond the silhouette. The original Henry Ford steel has been massaged to look amazing, and then fiberglass fenders were added so they could contain those missive rear tires in style. The full package is covered in a high gloss cherry that has earned this custom the name "Dago Red" (a reference to rich red wine history). In fact the paint has such a great shine, that it takes the place where some other custom builds reserve for brightwork. The result is a true standout appearance. But it wouldn't be a true custom without some chrome, but now it's used to highlight special features like the headlight bracket, door handles, and the 15-inch Cragar weld-style wheels. Also, it wouldn't be a true pickup if it didn't have a bed, and so underneath the custom topper is a real wood truck bed. Of course the lumber is so glossy, the only thing you'll be using this pristine area for is hauling home trophies.Inside this truck blends old and new worlds almost seamlessly. There is the classic bench seats setup, but once you sit in it, you'll find it vastly more comfortable than anything from the 1930s. The door panels, carpeting, and headliner all match this color scheme very nicely. There are nice modern upgrades such as the AM/FM/cassette stereo mounted overhead, and provisions for R134a air conditioning. You'll slip behind the banjo-style Ford V8 steering wheel (a new $500 addition) and gaze at a full set of classic-style VDO gauges. The center gauges even glow so you don't have to worry about driving this classic home at the end of an all-day car show and not seeing them. There's plenty to show off under the hood. The 350 cubic-inch V8 wears its Chevy heartbeat proudly with the flag emblem on the ribbed valve covers. Combined with the polished alternator and air grabber, as well as the matching red block, and you'll be happy to lift the hood at every stop. But more than just looking good, you get the added power of a new Edelbrock four-barrel carburetor and the throaty rhythm of a glasspack-style dual exhaust. But don't just listen to the pipes; look at their full journey in the undercarriage shots. There you'll see items like the painted chassis and upgraded oil & transmission pans. People hardly get to see these items (unless you put a mirror under the car,) so it tells you the level of quality in this build. Plus, with a full hot rod chassis, including an independent front suspension, ladder bar rear w/coilovers, and front disc brakes, this is an easy choice to show off near or far. With less than 4,500 miles on this truck since it was built, you can tell this has been a garage-kept, babied machine that was cherished by the consignor. So if you're ready to care for and enjoy a cut-above classic, call today!
