Description
Professional built by California Street Rods ( CSR ). A long time employee of CST built this car for his own personal street rod. Utilizing American Stamping new rails and engineering placement of correct cross members along with all the rest makes this car one of the very best. Both horns or ends of the frame were bopped for a much cleaner look. The front suspension utilizes radius rods and a 5" dropped axle with adjustable coil over shocks / spring combination rather then the traditional elliptical spring and again, a much cleaner and adjustable ride front end, In the rear of this car, you will find a slightly shortened 9" Ford read end with radius rods and again coil over shocks / spring combination which are adjustable for ride as well. Also on the rear is a stabilizer system. This car offers 4 wheel disc brakes by Strange Engineering with power assist and stainless brake lines. The body is by Wescot and offers hidden door handles, hidden hinges and a operational rumble seat. The hood is a custom built piece created in aluminum by Marcel. Pin stripping was done by Dennis Rickless and is unbelievable. The gas tank is filled by opening the rumble seat with the fill neck and cap on the side panel in this area. Steering is a tilt unit with shifter and turn signals on the column. The car, frame and other parts are either painted, powder coated, anodized or chromed. The color of the car is a Porsche Purple. The interior of the car including the rumble seat was done by Ron Mangus, certainly one of the best and most well known for quality street rod interiors. There is even a finished panel under the dash to match the interior. All gauges are VDO. A HotTronics wiring systems was used and works flawlessly. You have a keyed switch to start the car. Headlights are both operational from a push/pull switch which offers high and low beam lights. The front turn signals are built in the headlights. On the rear, the tail lights offer running lights, brake lights, turn signals backup lights and also license plate light. Lights come on when the doors are open, but fad to off within a short time. The car has gauge lights, radio, power antenna and a battery disconnect switch. The engine is a 383 cubic inch small block Chevy built by Ultimate Engineering and offers all top quality components. The transmission is a Turbo by Art Carr Racing Transmissions. This car has been "touched" by some very unique individuals as it was being built at CST. The windshield post and mirror arms were custom built out of billet aluminum by Lil' John Buttera as well as the custom valve covers and air cleaner. Naturally Lombardo who owns CSR offered help to Bob who was his seasoned employee known for his excellent work and for who the car was built for along with Boyd Cottington doing the custom wheels. These four friends all collaborated in the build of this car and their professional experience certainly shows. Bob told me he had over $ 80,000 in the car with no labor and I would certainly believe this. The car shows very well, turns heads everywhere you go, is enjoyable to drive and the quality of this car makes it a street rod you could get in and drive anywhere with no worries. The reason is am selling this car is I am a very large individual and really too big for this car. Other than that I would never, ever sell this car and would not expect to ever find a quality car like this again? I am 68 years old, been around street rods, race cars, you name it all my life. When I tell you that perhaps this may be one of the best ever, you can see from how and what the car has on it and how it was built and by who, it certainly is a extremely high quality car. I have started another project, so I would really LIKE to sell this car. If you want more information or have questions, you can contact me by email. The buyer will be responsible to make shipping arrangements and payments to his selected shipping company. I will be happy to help with pickup and would need notice as of time and date.NOTE: This car is titled as a 1932 Ford Roadster and not as a re-constructed street rod title which makes it easy to register. Also, I would highly suggest to review other roadsters in comparison and see how much more you get with this car.
