Evolve Motors is pleased to red present our clients 1972 Mustang Convertible Mach 1 – Clone!

Born as a classic '72 stallion with a 351 Cleveland this Mustang shed its normal insignia and trim to become a Mach 1 Clone car. Sporting chrome bumpers, front spoiler, rear wing, boot and pin stripe, and a functional ram air hood, this car is sure to turn heads. The lines are nice and the car is straight. We see no signs of any major accident repair. This car is stunning and really replicates the Mach 1 well. The top is in perfect condition having recently been replaced, the ram air hood feeds the Holley 4bbl atop the 351c through a correct intake system. Why spend the money on a Mach 1 when you can have this badass convertible clone instead.

The car shed its bright blue metallic paint when the conversion was done, it now sports bright red complimented by a black ram air hood and stripes. All doors and panels close nice and tight and line up great. The paint looks good and only has some normal imperfection as you would expect from an older respray. We note the usual overspray in different places. We would rate the paint work at a C+ but overall the panels show minimal body filler. We were pleased to find the lower edges of the fenders and quarters to be nice and solid. The chrome bumpers look great and the grilles front and rear are in nice condition. This car looks stunning going down the road, especially when you drop the power top. The top is new and looks fantastic, nice and taught throughout. This is a fantastic driver!

Inward, the black vinyl bucket seats show in fantastic condition, free of rips or tears. The carpets are nice and clean, covered with new floor mats. The dash bears the Mach 1 insignia and is in nice shape showing correct patina throughout. The interior also smells good, free of smoke or mildew.

The underside shows the rails in nice solid condtion. Normal floor pan (under bucket seats) rust was present and the pre-fabbed panels were welded in at some point. We notice some new sway links and lower ball joints. Overall the underside looks mechanically sound and road ready. We do see some rust on the very bottom of the rockers (see pics) however it is not structural and only seen with the car in the air.

Under the hood sits a Ford favorite 351 Cleveland that is backed by a solid shifting automatic transmission. The 351c gets its spark from a full MSD igntion, its fuel through a new 4bbl Holley, and its air through an era correct ram air hood and filter. The engine fires right up and sounds throaty through the true dual exhaust fed by a set of performance headers. This car has been well serviced. It has functional AC (converted to 134a), Power Steering and Power Brakes! This bad boy is sure to plant your ass in the bucket seats when you get on it. The power grabs the street via a new set of Torque Thrust Wheels and Kuhmo Excsta rubbers.

This car is sure to get everyone looking and is an absolute pleasure to drive!
