VIDEO ABOVE / PRESS PLAYThis special '66 Mustang has been restored both cosmetically and mechanically. it is powered by an updated Ford Racing 347 cubic inch stroker V8 paired with an updated T5 5-speed manual transmission. This car has an extensive TCI suspension kit underneath it along with updated power rack & pinion steering. The paint and body are done is a special dark green metallic base/clearcoat while the upholstery has been restored to original. This car is a pleasure to drive and show. This Mustang was purchased from the original owner in 2012. The car had been garage kept and not registered since 1973. The restoration process began in 2012. Be sure to visit the historic Flight Museum if you find yourself in Dallas Texas. The exterior showcases beautiful custom dark green metallic base/clearcoat paint with stripes. The body is very straight. The emblems have been blacked-out and special black powder-coated 17-inch wheels installed. This car has an excellent stance and handling prowess thanks to the updated TCI suspension wheels tires etc. The paint is stunning showing different color qualities in shadows and sunlight. The black stripes are subtle and show vividly in brighter lighting. The engine compartment houses the built Ford Racing crate 347 cube stroker smallblock V8. Look closely and you'll see the modified "eliminated" shock towers for a sleek display of inner fender sheetmetal. The engine itself features a March serpentine belt system with polished pullies. Air conditioning is also equipped and complete with a polished compressor (134a) This car also has updated power steering and power front disc brakes. The engine runs strong. A high capacity aluminum radiator and electric fan keeps things cool. The exhaust system sounds excellent. The dual pipes exit through the rear valence pan GT style. Open the doors to performance and yesterday. This interior is beautifully done. The dash assembly was disassembled and painted to match the body. The factory instruments are functional. The dash pad was replaced. The door panels and upholstery is excellent. The rubber seals and felts were replaced. An aftermarket Mustang AM/FM stereo was installed. A special wood 3-spoke Shelby style Mustang steering wheel was installed. The bucket seating was fitted with Pony upholstery. The back seating is in excellent condition. The undercarriage further displays the extent of work performed. The suspension has been updated with a T.C.I suspension kit. The shocks have been replaced front to rear. The flooring and framerails are in excellent condition. A power rack & pinion steering kit has also been installed. The exhaust system is well done and sounds perfect.
