The gentleman that I purchased the car from said his father was a mechanic and had been restoring this car to be a frequent driver. Unfortunately, e passed away with the car about 99% completed.
The engine was redone by Schwalm's Babbitted Bearings ( over $2200 to rebuild short block, nstall cam bearings, elicoiling, nd pistons .060 over).
The owner never completed the electrical before he passed away. The car has a new distributer, lugs, nd clips. It was converted from 6 to 12 volts. It has a 12 volt alternator. The 12 volt coil with built-in resistor is in a box on the floor. The owner's son put Marvel Mystery Oil in the cylinders shortly after his dad passed. The motor turns free, nd a good Model A man should get it running and timing set in an hour or so.
The brakes were converted to hydraulic, ut this is the only other thing that needs completion. All of the hard work is done (The wheel cylinders, pacers, and master cylinder are completed). The brake lines simply need to be connected and bled. They are there as far as I can tell.
I have the builder's binder of records to show what was purchased and done. No expense was spared.
All Steel Car
5 new Coker wide whitewall tires
new paint
new interior and rumble seat
rebuilt carburetor
oil filter set up
modern shock absorber set up
turn signals
dome light
The binder with all of the builder's notes will blow your mind. He certainly was meticulous. (paint codes, ales' receipts, iring schematics, rake parts described).
The builder had the car down to the bare frame.
I will let the pictures do the rest of the talking.
Make me a reasonable offer, how up with a flat bed and winch, nd the car is yours.
This will make someone a great car for a great price.
It is a Beauty that is sure to turn heads.
Good Luck bidding and God bless!
