1998 Jurassic Truck Corperation
T-REX
Meet the T-REX! This is truck number 002 of less than 1500 built in Arlington Texas in the late 90’s by the Jurassic Truck Corperation. The past owner told me 002 was the first truck ever sold to the public. The truck comes with a file four inches thick of original documents on the build. The T-REX was conceived origionally as a stunt vehicle replacement in films for the H1 HUMVEE in 1996. Back then, GM was not in the picture. AM General produced the military HUMVEE and the civilian HUMMER.
While this truck looks almost identical to the AM General H1 Hummer, it is not. It is a high quality replica made with a U.S. made steel body. Only the hood is fiberglass, and I’m told it can be switched out for a Hummer H-1 clip if desired.
In many ways, this truck out performs the H-1. It’s 2000lb. lighter. It’s faster and more agile on the road, and most parts are available at your local part house.
The truck is powered by a balance and blueprinted 383 LT1 Stroker motor that runs super strong. It offers 375 HP and 460 foot pounds of torque at 3700 RPM’s. Transmission is a GM TH/700 R4 automatic.
The truck is in great shape. It has no known body damage, the paint looks pretty good as well. There are no rust issues either. Some minor scuffs or scratches are present.
The truck has a nice soft top with soft doors. Seats four...but more seats could be added. The truck as a 8000lb. electric Ramsey slide-in winch that’s wired for front, or rear winching operations. The tires are huge 35 x 17.5 Baja Belted. One is showing signs of sidewall cracking. The tires are mounted on aluminum WELD wheels.
There are two radios, one CB and one Marine band. The truck has a massive factory roll bar as well. There is a on board air compressor too! Most of the gauges work, Tachometer, Water temp, Oil Pressure etc. The fuel gauge and speedo are currently not. The four-wheel drive works well, brakes are good and the transmission shifts nicely.
This is the ultimate beach cruiser or snow buggy. Please feel free to call Hawkeye Wills at 210-548-1310 for any questions. The truck is located in San Antonio Texas.
