Description

This truck was special ordered & bought new from Pansing Pontiac in Littleton. Colorado in late 1972 and is in very original condition. I am the 2nd owner and have only put about 800 miles on her since October. Body on this gal is fair+ with hail dimples on hood. some rust at the window frame. right fender and bed. Left rocker panel caved in & the right door needs some help. Mis-matched door mirrors. Original paint on the cab is kinda faded and the bed looks like it was brushed on. However the interior is all there & original and is in pretty damn nice shape. Plus ALL the gauges and lights work. Yes. even the two fuel gauges and the fuel tank selector switch AND the original AM radio. Original 17" steering wheel (still have it) replaced with nice Olds Cutlass 442 13. 5" wheel and GT Sport cover (horn still needs hooking up---needs a little Dorman part). Has factory air but needs a Freon recharge. Heater kicks butt though. Pioneer DEH-2800MP cd/stereo & new antennae. Sounds decent but could use some real speakers. Has factory over load rear helper springs. Dana T-19W four speed manual trans (i. e. granny gear 1st. newer 345 c. i. V-8 with about 23. 00 miles on her. N/P 205 divorced t-case. a real cool olde school Rhino PTO winch (needs rebuilding and a handle). Dana 60 5000 lb. rear axle w/Power-Lok (posi-traction) & 4:10 gears. Dana 44 3500 lb. front axle (7700 lb. GVWR) . original line ticket. rebuilt Holley 2300 2bbl w/manual choke & new fuel filter. two factory 16 gallon gas tanks (both pulled. cleaned out and re-installed). original IH manual locking hubs. factory cooling system upgrade. good battery (and a second battery tray installed). recent tune-up. good Firestone Destinations A/T 315-7-17 tires. plus she comes with four extra 17" x 31" Michelin street tires (no rims). But I'll also throw in the original steel 16. 5" rims that came with her when she was new. Fresh lube job last month. three new u-joints installed. new fluids in both axles. t-case and tranny. brake system flushed with two new wheel cylinders installed and two rebuilt. brake shoes & drums in real good shape and she stops very well. full cooling system flushed and re-filled with anti freeze and distilled water. new 185 degree t-stat. new 7. 5 psi radiator cap. new windshield washer pump. reservoir and wiper blades installed. no vacuum leaks and pulls 16" at idle at 4400' elevation. Has factory rear sliding window as well as tint. This truck runs great. has great oil pressure. runs cool. has torque out the wahoo and is a blast to drive on both the freeway and the trails. In Low/low she'll pull your house off it's foundation. On the highway it tracks very nicely and if you're easy on the pedal she'll give ya 12 mpg's. This would be great & inexpensive restoration project for the right person-----especially sitting on her current platform. Or merely drive her home and put her to work. Currently plated. tagged and insured in Arizona. so she's good 'til January 2016. Please note the pic of the grey sheet metal & gas pedal. This is how I covered the rusted spot on the driver's floorboard. and how I remounted the pedal. I did NOT cut out any of the original. rusted floor---- I just scraped and wire brushed out the loose stuff before screwing on the new grey sheet metal. And I am just fine with it as it is-----but some of you may want to repair it 'properly'. Your call. Thanx for looking & feel free to ask me any more questions. Cheers. Rick
