(Father to Son) This has been in Florida its entire life and has been Loved and Taken Care of. This one come equipped from the factory with the original 302. which is 210 HP. The 1968 Mercury Cougar was a virtual carryover from the 1967 model year. However. it was this year that Mercury decided to get serious about performance. The Mercury Cougar 302 V-8 in 1968 the model with 2-door hardtop coupe body and V-8 4942 cm3 / 301. 6 cui. 156. 5 kW / 213 PS / 210 hp (SAE gross) offered since September 1967 for North America U. S. The only Flaw in the Interior of this car is the Passenger Seat a 2 tares and the arm rests are worn. The Headliner is ABSOLUTELY PERFECT. The Carpets are in Amazing Condition for the year of the car and the fact it is all original is just crazy. This car has not been modified and has all matching numbers. It is the one you have been looking for. The paint is original! I pictured up the paint fade and the few actual flaws. The paint code and proper name is 43644 - Augusta Green Poly with the Interior properly called Dark Ivy Gold . You can research and you will find that the car is entirely original. except the radio the previous owner wanted to upgrade to a cassette player quite some time ago and in doing so they did not butcher the dash. The performance is just as expected. starts right up no smoke or engine noise. it is all here. The original Badges are in place and all in one piece. even the Hubcaps are Original! There are 2 small spots on the driver’s side lower rear rocker panel that have a touch of rust under the paint which is the only rust on the entire vehicle. The undercarriage is in Excellent Condition. The Passenger side was unfortunately dented on the rear quarter. Grandpa allowed Grandson to drive it. ONCE. There has been no paint work or previous repair preformed on the body or interior of this car. it is exactly the way we got it. We did not do any repairs or detailing so you can see exactly what we got. It is the perfect car to drive and with very little effort a wonderful project to restore. The Vehicle Identification Number is: 8F91F534468
