Description

We are the largest Independent JAGUAR & LAND ROVER Service and Restoration facility on the east coast. At the present time we are involved in over a dozen E-type restorations. This is an all-original, complete, numbers-matching 1967 E-Type left-hand drive roadster built for the German market, and originally imported into Germany by Peter Lindner's Jaguar firm (of racing fame). Early on the car found its way to the USA. This is a true barn find!
This car is in EXTREMELY original condition, and as a car built for import into Germany, this E-Type has the RARE factory steering column lock, the special short two-eared knock-off hubs (IMPOSSIBLE to find!), the speedometer calibrated in kilometers rather than miles, and still retains the original amber turn signal lenses at front and rear. We believe this Jaguarstill carries its original "Cream" paint, with the original red leather interior.
The engine is the original, matching-numbers 4.2-liter triple SU Carb 4.2L E-Type engine, with the correct numbers stamped into the engine block and head. The gearbox is also the matching-number original - an "EJ" full-synchro, close-ratio gearbox - the most desirable in all E-Types.
The engine DOES run! We cranked it over yesterday with a bit of fuel in the carburetors and some staring fluid, and it fired and ran, showing that this is a free spinning, complete and functional engine that can be easily rebuilt and has good oil pressure.
The body shell of this E-Type is VERY SOLID and shows minimal rust in the usual locations, such as the floors and sills as part of a complete restoration - though the shell is more solid than most that we now see. There is rust in the rear lower valances behind the rear wheels, but the boot floor looks quite solid. The bonnet is original to this car and also appears quite solid, with only minimal surface rust in the usual locations and no signs of any accident damage. This is probably one of the most solid restoration project cars available.
We can provide additional photos if desired. The car is complete and a correct.
If you would like to pursue this, please don't hesitate to contact me directly, either by email or phone.
Thank You! This is a VERY original car, and as a 1967 Series 1 roadster, it really is the absolute best of the E-Type! And, being an original German car imported through Peter Lindner, this is a very rare opportunity - I dare say that this might be the only ORIGINAL, UNRESTORED German Maket Series 1 E-Type roadsters left! Don't let this opportunity pass you by! Call 908-268-8108 or check us out at jagshop.com
