Description

The Jaguar E-Type, lso known as the XKE, rought style and performance together to create a mass produced supercar. This road going sports car was conceived in 1956 as a replacement for the D-Type. In March of 1961 the E-Type was officially introduced to the world at the Geneva, witzerland Motor show.

The car's design was created by an aerodynamic engineer named Malcolm Sayer. The front engine, ear-wheel drive vehicle featured a moncoque body and a tubular front chassis. The six-cylinder double cam engine had three SU carburetors and produced 265 horsepower. The suspension was independent with disc brakes on all four wheels. It brought together the best of aerodynamics, oupled with the latest technology and propelled by a potent engine. The vehicle was not only fast; it offered excellent performance and handling.

1974 was the 3rd series for the beloved E-Type. By the 60's the covered lights were gone but the styling was still received as one of the sexiest cars on the road. For the series 2, P was diminished due to US emissions but by 1974 the new 5.3L V12 was able to propel Jaguar to over 145mph again.

This Jag is a very nice example of a driver car. The car has just over 31,000 original miles. The engine has been overhauled and runs perfectly, C works great. This car drives as if it were new.It hasa new soft top and excellent re-spray with never any bodywork, lso the interior is new. The pedals show minimal wear. The dash is perfect as are the gauges. The radial tires are brand new. It has its original blue jack in the trunk. The spare tire looks to be original with minimal wear. The chassis is untouched and is totally original with no sign of rust leading us to believe it has never been driven in bad weather. The inside of the bonnet and trunk are in remarkable original condition.
