Description

1971 Jeepster Commando Convertible with three speed manual transmission and original Dauntless V6. I bought this from a nice little old lady that lives in a town called Silver Bells AZ. Her husband passed away and she was to old to drive it. I bought it as a project. I replaced the timing chain cover. The timing chain and gears. The carburetor. I replaced the point distributor with a new HEI electronic. I also replaced the plugs and wires. She told me her husband had the engine rebuilt in the 90's and it hasn't had much use since. This is the convertible model but I only have the parts listed in the pictures. This is a solid Arizona truck with some bubbling of the paint on the passenger rocker and some on the tailgate. This would sand off easy if you plan on painting it. I removed the carpet and the roll bar so you can get a good look at the floor boards with pictures of both top and bottom. This has the original Dauntless V6 engine showing 85,000 miles on the odometer but not sure if it's correct or not. Any questions feel free to ask. Will be posting a YouTube link at the bottom soon.
