Description

Up for sale is my trusty 1971 Land Rover Series 2a. This little truck is 4wd, nd has plenty of power even though it only has a 2.25L four cylinder engine. It starts up every time, nd runs incredibly smooth. The rover is right hand drive.

This is a military model, ot a civilian model. From what I can put together this vehicle was built in New Zealand. I’m not sure how many countries it’s been to or how long ago it was imported into the US, ut judging by the stickers on it, t’s been all over the world. Parts wise everything is pretty much the same except for the fuel tanks. It has two fuel tanks instead of one.

The good upgrades:

All the Lucas electrical wiring, lternator, nd starter have been replaced.

New fuel pump.

It has a Fairey overdrive.

HeysteeParabolic Spring Upgradeand GAZ adjustable shocks

Full disc brake conversion (all four wheels)Forbyn Broshardware plus bearings, alipers, otors, ads...from Rovers North

Magnaflow stainless steel muffler system fromRovers North

AEM Air Fuel Ratio gauge- so that you know the carb is properly tuned

Wright Off Roadsound dampening mat

Freshly painted hard top, ides, nd back door. They are still in the paint shop, ut they are included in the sale.

Also included in the sale are most of the original parts that were replaced, long with several oil filters, nd replacement gaskets.

The bad:

Speedometer cable is broken. ($20 part)

Wiring for windshield wipers are not landed.

Wiring for the Air Fuel Ratio Gauge is not landed.

I’m asking $20,000 for this truck which I feel is a fair price, specially considering the upgrades. The majority of the other Series trucks that are on the road still have the original suspension, he original drum brakes, nd questionable Lucas electrical. The low NADA value is 11,400, he average NADA value is $25,400, nd the high NADA value is $41,700.
