Description

This 1972 Land Rover Series 2A was shipped CKD (completely knocked down) from the factory in the UK to New Zealand where it was assembled by hand at the local dealer on Mount Maung Nui in the year of 1972 making this one of the few Land Rover series 2A's to be assembled after the introduction of the Series 3 in 1971/1972. The car was imported to the US in 2007 through the port in Charleston SC. The interior appears to be original and I was told as such although I can't prove it. There is very little rust for a car this age. There was some rust damage on the bulkhead which we had repaired when we bought the truck in 2012. In the 3 years that we've owned it I originally used it as a daily driver to and from school but since I'm now at university the car does not get driven quite as often. The oil has recently been changed the clutch rebuilt the differential and transmission fluids changed and the transmission was checked over. We also added an aftermarket "Rover Drive" overdrive with an independent oil reservoir for cooling the overdrive is very quiet when compared to afaireyoverdrive. It's a great truck but I just don't use it enough any more and want to see it go to a good home. This is your opportunity to own a one of a kind Series Rover in the US!
