Description

I'm selling my 1960 Lincoln Continental Mark V 2-Door Hardtop. I've owned it for five years, nd the title is in my name.
From the first time I saw it, fell in love with the styling and the color. After debating a while, finally thought "When am I ever going to see another factory original, apphire (inside and out), 960 Lincoln Continental 2-door?" After all, hey only made 1,461 of these 2-door Continentals. And most people were conservative picking out black or white.
My intentions were to restore it back to factory original condition. I bought correct new tires for it, nd had it repainted in it's original Sapphire Metallic a few years ago. The paint job is beautiful, nd it's this cars strongest point. I've had numerous compliments on it, nd I hope it shows through in the pictures. In the future I wanted to re-upholster the interior with correct leather from SMS, nd install a new carpet. But other things have come up at home. I'm hoping someone else can pick up where I left off.
Beside the tires and the paint, put on a new water pump. I also had the Treadle-Vac rebuilt. The fuel pump is new as well as some of the radiator hoses. The carb is rebuilt too. I'm hoping I'm not forgetting anything. The engine runs well, nd the trans shifts as it should. I've taken this car on a couple 80 mile one-way trips, nd it made it fine. It doesn't have any major leaks. I only have to top off the power steering fluid on occasion. And I think it's only the hose that could use replacing.
The power window motors all work in this car. I never had a chance to take the side panels off to clean and grease the tracks for the rear side windows. But you can help them up and down by hand. The front passenger vent window is stuck, ut I can hear the motor try to open it. The breezeway window in back works great, s well as the passenger window and the drivers vent window. The main drivers window feels a little loose in the tracks about half way down, ut it closes firm & tight. The power trunk release works. The button is located in the glove compartment. The power seat works. The dash lights work, s well as the turn signals and outside lights. The blower comes on for the heater, ut it does not blow hot air. The heater control valve was bi-passed when I bought the car. I never had time to look into changing it. This car also comes with the original set of Lincoln keys.
Although this has been a Wisconsin car most of it's life, t isn't as rusty underneath as one would expect. The car is solid, nd the doors close with ease.
After the auction, $500 deposit is required within 48 hours. Full payment in 7 days. I'm not offering shipping, ut I can help load the car if you send a trailer. The car must be picked up within 2 weeks. If you have any issues with this, lease mention it to me before bidding. I will not end the auction early, nd I'm not looking to trade for anything.
If you have any questions, eel free to ask. Thank you.
