The 1966 Lincoln Continental rode on a wheelbase that measured 4 inches larger than the previous years platform. Standard features included the automatic transmission, ower seat, ower steering, ront disc brakes, ower windows and windshield washers. The car is also optioned with air conditioning. This $500 option was checked on most Lincolns for '66. This is a solid example finished in a repaint of its original Platinum Light Blue paint, owered by its 462 cubic inch V8, nd showcasing factory blue cloth interior. Open the doors to 1966. The Continental was offered as a four-door sedan, our-door convertible, r two-door hardtop version. The sedan was by far the most popular Continental sold, ith 35,809 units leaving Lincoln showrooms in '66.

The suicide opening rear doors is a signature feature of these slab-side Lincoln Continentals. These cars have exemplary interior space, ith seating for six.

This is a striking car. The Platinum Light Blue finish is confirmed by the trim identification plate as correct for this car, long with blue interior.

The body is in very good condition. The paint shows well, ith minor imperfections on closer inspection. This is a good driver quality finish, owever there are some chips, inor scratches, nd touch-ups. The brightwork is in good condition as well.

The interior features very clean two-tone cloth upholstery along with the original dash and instruments. The seat upholstery appears to be original type, reviously replaced and in very good to excellent condition.

The dash has some cracking but is otherwise intact. The factory instruments and controls are also intact throughout.

There are auxiliary air conditioning controls mounted under the dash, hown above. The air conditioning system is in need of service and not currently functioning. It appears to be intact throughout.

The factory AM radio is intact and working.

The front and rear bumpers woulddisplay anotableredesign in '66. The turn signals would return to the bumper and the tail lights no longer wrapped around the rear fenders. These would be the first such changes in 5 model years for Lincoln.

Under hood, he 462 cubic inch V8 was factory-rated at 240 horsepower. This 4bbl. carbureted powerplant is smooth running and has more than ample power. This engine is paired with the properly functioning 3-speed automatic transmission.

The engine compartment displays original sheetmetal throughout the inner fenders, ore support, nd firewall, n exceptional condition, s is the underbody. The engine is dressed with the factory breather assembly and valve covers. Engine accessories include optional air conditioning and standard-featured power steering. Power Front Disc brakes are also standard equipment for '66 Lincoln Continentals.

The trunk is in good condition, olid throughout and carpeted, howing soiled staining as photographed.

The trunk lid is good and solid. There is a dent on it, hown above.


The undercarriage is photographed above. This Lincoln is exceptionally solid underneath. The flooring and frame rails are in good condition as are the door undersides, lso photographed above.


The differential is stout and original, aired with the factory 3-speed automatic transmission. This old car drives down the road straight and smooth, ith authority. The brakes are functional and the power steering is responsive.

The wheels of choice are the original 15-inch steel wheels & beauty caps, itted with updated 225/75R15 whitewall radial tires all around.

PAYMENT OF BALANCE DUE
The buyer agrees to pay remaining balance due within 5 days of the close of the auction. All financial transactions must be completed before the vehicle leaves our dealership.
TAX, ITLE AND LICENSE
We are a licensed Texas dealership. It is required that we collect all tax, itle and license fees from Texas residents at the time of the sale. We will do all of the title work. Non Texas residents are responsible for paying taxes in his/her state. Overseas customers will be charged a $30.00 fee for wire transfers. We must collect a vehicle inventory tax of .002286% and a small documentary fee of $75.00 on ALL sales.

The buyer is responsible for all shipping charges. We can refer you to a number of national and international shippers. Once the vehicle leaves our dealership, e will take no further responsibility for the vehicle.
